Magdalena is a talented musician, as well as a music teacher and researcher-musicologist. She is originally from Poland,a country of rich musical traditions, where she learned classical guitar at the Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and lute at the Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. After receiving her Master of Music degree, she moved to Greece in 1989 and then to Canada in 1992, where she now teaches guitar and lute at the Beckett School of Music in Kitchener.
Magdalena has perfectly mastered the renaissance lute, as well as baroque guitar, theorbo, and classical guitar, and now she regularly performs (and records) with various music groups from Canada and Poland. Among those groups are Tactus Vocal Ensemble, Nota Bene Period Orchestra and Nota Bene Baroque Players, Renaissance Singers, Cardinal Consort, Collegium Vocale Bydgoszcz and Canor Anticus along with soloists such as Stephanie Kramer, Jennifer Enns-Modolo, and Daniel Cabena.
