Eid al-Fitr. Arabic Sounds of Canada.

Eid al-Fitr is a significant religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all around the world. This holiday marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting.

In 2018 Eid al-Fitr is observed on June 15th. Since the Islamic calendar is lunar, the date of the holiday is always the same, while the date in the Gregorian calendar, which is solar, is different every year (approximately 11 days earlier each successive year).
