Shooting Korean Sounds of Canada

In early March, our crew shot the last two scenes for the Korean Sounds of Canada project.

The first day, we went to the Korean Dance Studies Society of Canada, where artists played Korean drums during the rehearsal. These instruments are very expensive and quite fragile, so Mi Young Kim, the head of the ensemble, decided not to risk transporting them to our studio but suggested we come instead to her team's rehearsal facility at the Toronto Korean Cultural Center.

The next day, a group of dancers arrived at Ethnic Channel Group's studio.
To create a special atmosphere at the studio, we decorated it with several dozen oriental lanterns.

Dancers performed a total of five acts of the traditional Korean dancing routine.
In almost every new act the dancers appeared in different costumes, each time presenting completely new images.

Presently, a documentary film is in its post-production stage and in the summer it will be featured on the official website of the project.
